Police charge nine ov?????er uk terrorism plot
At the moment there are seven suspects on trial accused of planning to detonate a s?????uicide bomb at parliament’s gates. They include Khalid El Bakraoui, 20, who was arres?????ted in April this year, and Nasser Azzam, a 20-year-old from North Rhine-Westphalia who was arrested during a raid on his Berlin home last October. According to media reports at the time, the suspect arrested in North Rhine-Westphalia was connected with a bomb attack last March in Ansbach that killed nine people.
According to media reports, Khalid El Bakraoui was arrested in April, the second day after the attack in Ansbach. Azzam, one of the suspects arrested in October, has also been questioned. According to the official line from the prosecutor, however, the case is still on appeal before the court and the legal process is continuing. The investigation into the bombing has continued after a series of setbacks.
The trial of Khalid El Bakraoui and others at Frankfurt’s Main Court has begun to stretch into early October and the trial is expected to last the whole year. It could take place either on December 3 or 4. It remains unclear whether there will be an international trial of the entire ring-leaders of the attack, but German media expect those involved to be tried at home. The most senior suspect – a German citizen named Abdulaziz Bakri – is a resident of Frankfurt. As far as we can tell he was living in Turkey at the time.
